Central Library is fully automized and books are fully classified according to the Dewey Decimal Classification scheme. OPAC(ONLINE PUBLIC ACCESS CATALOGUE)with the help of automized Software user can search availability of a particular Book and the status of their account.

Code of conduct in the Library:
Students should enter in the Library with proper uniform and properly displayed ID card. Members should not be bringing their personal belongings into the Library. Adequate storage facility is provided at the entrance. However, the Librarian is not liable for the loss of items stored.
Library is a place of study. All the users are required to maintain silence and to follow the instructions of the Staff at all times and maintain professional environment conducive for study. Group Discussions, combined studies, etc are prohibited in the library. Library users are strictly prohibited from taking the borrowed and stamped books again inside the Library. Students must come to the Library personally and provide his/her ID card in the counter to take books.
In the case of the loss of ID card, matter should immediately be reported to the authority. New ID card will be issued on paying fine. Usage of Cell Phones is not permitted inside the library. Stealing or damaging the property of Library or misbehavior with library staff shall be considered as an act of indiscipline. The Librarian reserves the right to recall any book issued to the borrower even prior to the due date of return if necessary. Member can take books for reference after entering in the register which is kept on the reference desk. While leaving the Library, Books taken for reference should be kept on the reference desk.
Library users are strictly prohibited from taking the borrowed and stamped books again inside the library.
All the books should be returned on or before the date stamped on the date label. Absence from the college will not be an excuse for not returning the book on time. The book has to produced in the Library for renewal only one time and it will not be allowed 5 days after the due date.
After the loan period if they fail to return or renew, existing late fee decided by the Library Advisory Committee will be charged. Absence from the College will not be treated as an excuse. If the book issued to a Member is lost, the member should replace the fresh copy of the same book. If not he/she must pay the present price of the book and an additional fine which is prevailing. In case of out of print/rare books the worth of the book and the fine will be decided by the Library Advisory Committee.
For any sort of damaged done to the book issued, he/she will have to replace 2 copies of the same with fine.
While retuning a book if there is any sort of tampering with the Barcode Sticker or Spinal Label pasted on the book he/she is liable to pay the existing fine. Reference books, Journals, Newspapers and Magazines should not be taken out. The Library timings and details of Fine are displayed on the Library Notice Board.
The number of books that can be borrowed for students and loan period is as follows:

If due date of return of a book falls on a Public Holiday/Vacation, Students can return the book on the next working day without fine.
