Applied Electronics & Instrumentation is a pioneer field of engineering in the modern era, In this fast growing age of automation and process industries, instrumentation engineer is an inevitable choice of every industry. Instrumentation is the technology of creating, constructing and maintaining the measuring and control devices that equip manufacturing plants and research institutions. An instrumentation engineer works with scientists developing and designing highly complex instruments to measure and record data, control and regulate operation of machinery or measure the variables encountered in industrial processes.
The Applied Electronics & Instrumentation program at RCET prepares students to calibrate and maintain the sensors and control equipment present in any industrial plant such as power plants, refineries, compressor stations, or water treatment facilities. This is a rapidly changing field that will require updated skills and knowledge to work with the latest computer based equipment commonly being used in the industrial control area.
Well qualified and committed faculties are our strength. The laboratories of this department are well equipped with the state of art equipments at par with industrial standard. The various laboratories are Process Control & Instrumentation, Microprocessor, Industrial Instrumentation, Simulation, Digital Electronics and Power Electronics lab.
Knowledge and skills of staff are regularly updated through well planned and executed FDP’s. The department has conducted FDPs in areas such as LabVIEW, Embedded System Design,Control System Design, Signal Processing.
