ROYAL ADVANCED CAREER EDUCATION FOR CIVIL ENGINEERING

Civil engineering deals with design, construction and maintenance of infrastructure. It is a broad engineering discipline that comprises a variety of niche areas like planning, design, material management, project management, construction, waste management and the likewise. Each of these specialized areas holds tremendous potential for employment. During a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, students will learn how to follow construction safety standards as well as building regulation. As a civil engineer, student can see how small ideas turn into something big, sturdy and stable – from the first brick to the finishing touches.
There are many more courses which can help student excel better in their respective field. If students are interested in construction field then courses such as project scheduling, project planning and cost evaluation and estimation could be of great help. To learn about Quality Control and Quality Assurance in field during actual construction, student can follow up more of practical courses involving experiments and projects involving using and testing of new technologies for construction. Also there are a number of QC tests (Laboratory tests, In-situ tests, NDTs) which student must know in detail (as well as perform or supervise) if student want to become a Site (Construction) engineer. Similarly if student are interested in geospatial sector then take some ad-on such as GIS and Remote Sensing, data analytics, etc. If students aim to establish their self as a successful geotechnical engineer then course such as tunneling, advanced soil mechanics, etc might be of more help.
Softwares like ms-project and primavera are very useful in the field of project planning and management. Learning software packages and taking up projects to master the same is always a good idea, again if student are interested to become a Design Engineer. STAAD Pro, ETABS, NSYS, AutoCAD etc. are a few of them.
If students want to excel in their field, they should interact with a lot of people at all levels associated with Civil Engineering. There’s no learning better than learning from observation and questioning what student see around them. To keep them updated with latest developments and technologies, the Royal Advanced Career Education Center under Civil Engineering Department of RCET Providing various job oriented courses. This career education will also support the students in obtaining industry credentials.
