The Robotics Club-RCET successfully conducted the “Hands On Robotics Bootcamp” on 26/9/2025 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM in Room No-318. The resource persons, Sterin CJ (CEO, MADGOS) and Sharon Varghese V (CTO, MADGOS), led the bootcamp, providing hands-on experience in robotics.
They introduce participants to the fundamentals of robotics through an interactive,practice-oriented approach. The session began at 9:30 AM with an introduction to robotics, the facilitators’ past projects, and notable achievements. This was followed by a briefing on the basics of Arduino programming and the Arduino Nano platform. Participants were divided into ten groups and provided with the necessary components to carry out hands-on experiments. The morning session included exercises such as blinking an LED, measuring distance using an ultrasonic sensor, and activating a buzzer when a threshold distance was reached. After the lunch break, an idea-pitching competition was organized, where teams presented their innovative concepts, and the best idea was selected from among the ten groups.
In the final session, participants built and tested a pre-programmed car using Arduino, which was later upgraded into an environment-sensing car capable of detecting obstacles and stopping automatically. Overall, the bootcamp successfully combined theoretical knowledge with practical learning, fostering innovation, teamwork, and technical skills among the students.
