Cultural programs are organized several times during the year to encourage creative pursuits and nurture talent. Students form teams and share responsibility in organizing the events.

“DHANAK 2K23” was remarkable with the effective participation of students in various offstage and onstage events. The Arts fest was followed by External Programme ‘Fusion with Sinkarimelam’ which is really mesmerizing.

REPORT ON THE ROYAL ARTS FEST – ‘DHANAK 2K23’

Vanithalokam Award 2018

Students of Royal College of Engineering and Technology participated in the Vanithalokam Award function hosted by Kairali We channel on 28/2/2018. About 250 students and 12 staffs from RCET attended the function held at Bharathiya Vidhya Bhavan auditorium, Thrissur. Among this, 42 students who performed different cultural events.

The Arts fest of RCET “DHANAK 2K18” was celebrated on 5, 6 March 2018 in the campus. The students showcased their creativity and innovations to a great extent. There were five stages inside the campus set at Courtyard, Volleyball Court, parking lot, main seminar hall and Room No.410. All the stages were active during the two days.

COGNITO 2K17 - TECHMEET

The Techfest of the academic year 2017 was conducted in the college campus from 25-10-2017 to 28-10-2017. Ms.Mary John C, HOD CE and Mr.Krishnakumar,HOD,ECE were the staff co-ordinators and Mr. Aswin Chandran ,S7CSE was the student coordinator. The Official inaugural Ceremony of the Cognito 2k17 occurred on 27th of October. The function started with prayer followed by the welcome address Ms.Mary John C., HOD CE. Respected Principal, Dr,S.P. Subramanian delivered the presidential address. Honourable District rural police chief Mr. Yatheesh Chandra I.P.S. inaugurated the programme. Mr.N.V.Moidunny, Secretary, RCET presented the memento to the chief guest. The prizes for the winners of ‘Tathva’,techfest of NITC , winners of the first year students’ science Exhibition , and a special award to Mr,Santhosh, campus security chief were also distributed by the chief guest. The chief guest specially mentioned about the role of budding engineers in the transportation sector of India. More than the job seekers technocrats should be the job providers. Dr.Biju P L, H.O.D. Mechanical Engineering and Mrs.Jyothi C. S., P.T.M.A. Member delivered the felicitations

The Students of the various departments were actively participated in all the programmes. All the engineering departments and the IEDC of RCET had organized several technical and non technical programmes..The main events by various departments were, WE(Women of Excellence) of Department of ECE, Extravaganza( Fashion show) by Department of CSE, Vibrantz (Musical band competition) by Department of EEE, Roadiez by Department of AEI, Contraption by Department of ME, Slip Soccer by Department of CE ,An Expo by First year students and Product/Startup Expo by IEDC RCET.

Dhanak - The Cultural Fest

The annual two-day cultural extravaganza – Dhanak has a unique flavor and style that makes it a much expected event on RCET Campus. It’s a confluence of ideas, a perfect blend of the arts, the skills and the passion to perform.

Dance, light music, classical music, fashion show, literary debates, craft and lots of other events are organized and leading celebrities are invited to judge the events.

There’s competition and a spirit of camaraderie too as students from various streams come together to participate, compete and win prizes.

Burust-2016 - The RCET Talent Fest

Talent Fest happens once a year and it’s the perfect opportunity for all talented students from colleges and institutions under the RCET banner to participate in the competitions and showcase their creative talent.

Onam - Onam Celebrations

All Indian festivals are celebrated on campus with enthusiasm and vigor, by students from the respective states. Special lunch is organized in the canteen to give the students a taste of the region’s culinary tradition. Onam is one of the most popular celebration in Kerala.
