Smart India Hackathon 2025

The Royal College of Engineering and Technology successfully organized the Internal Hackathon as part of Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2025 on 26th September 2025. The event was conducted in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), IEDC RCET, and the Computer Society of India RCET Chapter, under the guidance of the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (Government of India).

The hackathon served as a preliminary round to identify and nurture the best innovative solutions from the student community for the national-level SIH 2025. The theme of the hackathon was “Hack for Change”, encouraging participants to apply their creativity, problem-solving, and technical skills to real-world challenges.

A total of 26 teams from various departments of RCET showcased their innovative solutions during the event. After rigorous evaluation and presentations, these 26 teams were shortlisted and registered to represent the institution at the Smart India Hackathon 2025 National Level competition.

The hackathon was conducted from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM across two venues – SDPK Lab and 416 Lab. The event witnessed active participation, enthusiasm, and teamwork from students, with support and mentoring from faculty members.

The successful completion of this event marks a significant milestone in RCET’s innovation journey, enabling students to gain valuable exposure and opportunities to showcase their talents at a national platform. and opportunities to showcase their talents at a national platform.
