8:30 am -6:00 pm (Monday –Friday, all Saturdays except 2th and 4th Saturdays)

Library Rules

Code of conduct in the library

  1. Students and staffs must display their ID card when entering the library and issuing books. The ID card is not transferable.
  2. Personal book and other personal belongings are not allowed in the library.
  3. Stealing or damaging the library’s property or misbehaving with the library staffs shall be considered indiscipline.
  4. In the case of losing an ID card, the matter should immediately be reported to the authority. The new ID card will be issued upon paying fine.
  5. Reference books/ magazines/ journal are not issuable.
  6. All the books should be returned on or before the date written on the date table. Absence from college will not be considered an excuse for not returning the book on time.
  7. The book has to be produced in the library for renewal only one time.
  8. If the book issued to a member is lost/damaged/disfigured, the member should replace two fresh copies of the same book with a fine.
  9. A member is charged a fine of Rs 1 per day that an item is overdue.
  10. Suppose a library member loses or abandons a book outside of the college campus, and the library staff later finds and returns the book. In that case, the member will be charged a fine determined by the library.

Book Scheme

List of available books will be displayed on the Notice board of library.
Students can borrow books from library for 20 days ,On the due date students can renew the books by producing the same to the librarian .If renewed he/she can keep the book for another 20days (one time only)

Digital Library/E resourse

Excellent collection of E Journals, E book ,Previous year question papers,Study materials are available in digital Library. Internet facility is open for all students in the institution. Students are adviced to use the facility only for their academic support.

National Digital Library of India (NDLI)

Royal College of Engineering and Technology is now a club member of the National Digital Library of India (NDLI).

NDLI is a project under the Ministry of human resource development, The Government of India, managed by IIT Kharagpur. The objective of NDLI is to collect and collate metadata and provide a full-text index from several national and international digital libraries, as well as other relevant sources. It is a digital repository containing textbooks, articles, videos, audiobooks, lectures and simulations within a single portal. The NDLI provides free of cost access to many books in the Indian languages and English.

Royal College has an automated Central Library and Information Centre stacked with more than 27,800 textbooks and reputed printed and electronic journals buttressed with substantial back volumes. Books and holdings in Central and department Libraries are well capable of the professional, academic, social and moral development of students and faculty members.
